1 Chief Engineer, 4 SEs of WRD found absent from duty during cellphone tracking

Patna : A Chief Engineer (CE) and four Superintending Engineers (SEs) of Water Resources Department (WRD) were found absent from their respective places of posting during checking of attendance of engineers through mobile phone tracking on November 6, 2018. The WRD has provided cellphones to all its CEs, SEs, Executive Engineers (EEs), and Assistant Engineers.

Joint Secretary cum Director Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation, WRD, Gorakhnath, checked the attendance of several engineers posted in different parts of the state through mobile phone tracking on November 6 during which CE, Flood Control and Drainage, Katikar, SE, Flood Control and Drainage Circle, Biharsharif, SE, Flood Control and Drainage Circle, Purnia, SE, West Kosi Canal Circle, Jainagar, and SE, Flood Control Circle, Khagaria, were found absent from duty. The WRD is likely to take action against these engineer. The department has asked all its engineers to always keep their cellphones on.
