Patna : World No 3 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, and World No 72 Nick Kyrgios, 23, Australia, will clash in the final of Mexican Open, an ATP World Tour 500 points tournament played on hard court, at Acapulco, Mexico.

Zverev defeated World No 64 Cameron Norrie, 23, UK, 7-6, 6-3 in the first semi-finals in 1hr 20 minutes on March 2, 2019. Zverev fired 10 Aces in the match to 2 by Norrie. But, Zverev also committed 4 double faults to 2 by Norrie. Zverev broke Norrie’s serve twice while the latter broke his service only once. Zverev won 5 games in a row to 3 by Norrie.

Kyrgios upset World No 9 John Isner, 33, USA, 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 in 2hr 21 minutes in the second semi-finals on March 2, 2019. Kyrgios fired 25 Aces in the match to 24 by Isner. Both the players won break points each. Isner committed 6 double faults to just 1 by Kyrgios. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match.
