Zverev, Dimitrov, Goffin enter 3rd round of French Open, Querrey upset

Patna : World No 5 in ATP rankings Grigor Dimitrov, 26, Bulgaria, survived a crisis to enter the 3rd round of French Open 2018 defeating World No 57 Jared Donaldson, 21, USA, in a five-set thriller 6-7, 6-4, 4-4, 6-4, 10-8 in the second round on Court 18 at Roland Garros on May 30, 2018, night.

But, World No 65 Gilles Simon, 33, France, stunned World No 15 Sam Querrey, 30, USA, in a major upset in the second round on Court 7. Simon beat Querrey in four sets 1-6, 7-6, 6-4, 6-1 to enter the third round.

World No 9 David Goffin, 27, Belgium, defeated World No 141 Corentin Moutet, 19, France, 7-5, 6-0, 6-1, to enter the third round. World No 21 Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, also entered the third round defeating World No 51 Benoit Paire, 29, France, 6-3, 2-6, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the second round on May 30.

World No 3 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, defeated World No 60 Dusan Lajovic, 27, Serbia, in a five set thriller 2-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, on Court 1 to enter the third round.
