Patna :  World No 7 Axelander Zverev, 22, Germany, beat World No 16 Andrey Rublev, 22, Russia, in straight sets at Melbourne Area, Melbourne Park, Victoria, Australia, to march into the quarter-finals of Australia Open (AO) 2020 on January 27, 2020.

Zverev, the 7th seed, beat 17th seed Rublev 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in 4th round  winning three break points in the match besides winning 3 games in a row. The German fired 11 Aces in the match to 5 by the Russian. Rublev committed 5 double faults to 3 by the German. Zverev won 60 servive points to 55 by Rublev. Zverev’s winning percentage both on his first and second serve ( 91 % 73 %) was much higher than that of Rublev (77% 7 63 %).
