Patna : Zimbabwe were 266/7 in 106 overs in their second innings at stumps on Day 4 in 2nd test against Afghanistan at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on March 13, 2021, as captain Sean Williams, 34, scored an unbeaten 106 in 190 balls with 9 fours and 1 six, his 2nd century in the series and 4th overall, and fast medium bowler Donald Tiripano, 32, scoring an unbeaten 63 in 164 balls with 11 fours. Sean Williams had scored 105 in first innings in 1st test against Afghanistan recently and was named Player Of The Match . Zimbabwe won the first test by 10 wickets.

The 124 run unbroken partnership in 256 balls between Williams and Tiripano for the 8th wicket ensured Zimbabwe will not suffer an innings defeat which they stared after being reduced to 142/7 after 63.2 overs on Day 4. Asked to follow on, Zimbabwe are now leading by 8 runs with 3 wickets in hand even as spinner Rashid Khand took 5/105 in 43 overs. Rashid Khnd had taken 4/138 in 36.3 overs inĀ  Zimbabwe first innings.

Zimbabwe were all out for 287 in their first innings after Afghanistan had declared their first innings at 545/4 with Hashmatullah Shahidi scoring an unbeaten 200 in 443 balls and captain Asghar Afghan scoring 164.
