Motihari ; Hundreds of youth took out Candle March at Motihari and Sangrampur in East Champaran District in North Bihar on January 9, 2022, demanding stern action against  police officials posted at Sangrampur police station (PS) in connection with brutal murder of a Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) of Indian Air Force (IAF) Aditya Kumar on January 7, 2022, evening,, and immediate arrest of all the accused in the case.

The protestors were demanding immediate destruction of over 50  illegal  country liquor manufacturing  units running in local Rohua Chaur  (water body)  by police and district administration. They also forced closure of the shops  in market. Aditya Kumar was posted at Amritsar, Punjab.

It may  be recalled here that Aditya Kumar, IWO, IAF, a native of Madhubani Tewari Tola under Sangrampur PS, was allegedly stabbed to death on January 7, 2022, evening, by some bootleggers after he opposed movement of tractor and bike carrying countrymade liquor in through his land near Ghoswar Ccanal under Sagrampur PS.

East Champaran SP Kumar Ashish said that four persons have been detained in connection with  the IAF officer`s murder. An SIT has been constituted under the leadership of SDPO,  Areraj,  to investigate the case and arrest the accused. According to reports, all the accused are absconding after the murder.

Salini Mishra,,MLA from Kesariya,;  Mahachandra Pd Singh, former Mminister, and Baban Pandey ,a senior Congrees leader, have demanded immediate arrest of all the accused.They paid tributes to slain Aditya Kumar.
