Ara : A youth was killed while his two friends were injured one of them seriously when a tanker collided head-on with their motorcycle near Dulhinganj under Jagdishpur police station on Ara-Mohania NH-30 in Bhojpur District on October 10, 2020, late evening.
The deceased was identified as Prakash Kumar, 20, son of Gajju Paswan of Charpokhari police station, while the injured were identified as Ankit Kumar and Dhan Kumar. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital and admitted the injured there. Police seized the tanker though the driver escaped from the place of occurrence. An FIR has been lodged with Jagdishpur police station against the driver of the tanker in this connection.
SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Prakash Kumar along with his friends Ankit Kumar and Dhan Kumar was going to his in-laws’ at Barnaw village under Ayar police station on his motorcycle on October 10, 2020, afternoon. When he reached near Dulhinganjvillage under Jagdishpur police station, a speeding tanker collided head-on with the motorcycle injuring all the three motorcycle borne youth. After the incident, the driver escaped from the scene leaving the tanker behind.
The injured were referred them to Ara Sadar Hospital. Doctors at Ara Sadar Hospital referred Prakash Kumar to Patna Medical College and Hospital after first aid in view of his critical condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to Patna.
