Bettiah : Saket Mishra, 22, of village Koerigawa under Shikarpur police station in West Champaran district was allegedly killed by his close relatives on October 7, 2018, night. His body was found lying along Narakatiaganj – Bettiah road between 44th battalion SSB headquarters Narakatiaganj and village Shofawa on October 8, 2018, morning, by Shikarpur police.
Shobha Devi, mother of the deceased, has lodged an FIR with Shikarpur police station in this connection making her husband Sanjay Mishra, father- in- law Nathuni Mishra, Ajay Mishra and Rinku Mishra, both relatives, and others named accused.
SHO, Shikarpur police station, Jitendra Prasad, said that Shobha Devi, in her FIR, said that her husband Sanjay Mishra had left her about a decade back and living with another wife at a distant place and occasionally came here to sell his landed property. Shobha Devi lived with her son at Koerigawa. She alleged that a few days back she transferred 4 kattha of land in the name of Saket which was the reason behind his killing. Police are searching fpr the accused, the SHO said.
