Ara : A youth met his watery grave when a boat capsized in river Ganga on May 2, 2020. About half-a-dozen other boat passengers, however, swam to safety. The deceased was identified as Govind Chaudhary, 26, son of Sriniwas Chaudhary of Horil Chhapara under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district. Police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the incident.
SHO, Shahpur police station, said that Govind Chaudhary of Horil Chhapara along with some of his friends had gone to other side of river Ganga on boat to bring harvested crop on May 2 morning. On return journey, the boat overturned into the river in which about half- a -dozen persons drowned though all of them swam to safety except Govind Chaudhary.
