Gopalganj: A man, who had come to his in-laws’ house at village Jigna under Meerganj ps in Gopalganj district, committed suicide by jumping before a running train at Jigna Dhala (railway crossing) on December 5 night. His body was found on the railway track on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Priyesh Kumar, 27, a native of village Amnaur in Saran district.
Eyewitnesses said that Priyesh had come to his in-laws’ house on December 5 itself. He later reached at Jigna Dhala at Meerganj late in the night and jumped before a running passenger train. It seems that Priyesh had heated exchange at his in-laws’ house after which he took thes extreme step, they feared. On getting information, local police reached the spot on Tuesday morning and identified the deceased. The cops sent the body to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital and later handed it over to the family member after autopsy.
Meerganj ps SHO B P Alok said that the family members had not submitted any complaint in this connection with the police.The deceased’s wife ruled out any difference with her husband. She said that she has a kid.
