Patna : Spinner Yasir Shah scored his first test century and Babar Azam scored 97 as Pakistan were all out for 302 in 94.4 overs in their first innings in 2nd test against Australia at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Australia, on Day 3. Shah and Azam added 105 runs for the 7th wicket. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc took 6/66 in 25 overs while Pat Cummins took 3/83 in 22.4 overs.

Resuming at their overnight score of 96/6, Pakistan lost their 7th wicket that of Babar Azam at 194. Azam fell to Mitchell Starc for 97 in 132 balls with 11 fours. Pakistan, however, soon lost their 8th wicket that of fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, who fell to Starc for a duck making it 194/8.  In fact, Babar Azam and Afridi fell to Starc in the same over at the same score.

Yasir Shah and fast bowler Mohammad Abbas then added 87 runs for the 9th wicket. Abbas fell to fast bowler Pat Cummins for 29 in 78 balls 4 fours and a six making it 281/9. Yasir Shah fell to Pat Cummins for 113 in 213 balls with 13  fours. Muhammad Musa remained unbeaten on 12.
