Patna : World No 324 Tim Van Rijthoven, 22, Netherlands, stunned top seed Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, on November 14, 2019, to enter the quarter-finals of ATP Pune Challenger. Tim, the 14th seed,  beat World No 95 Gunneswaran in three-sets 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 in causing a massive upset in the tournament.

But, World No 127 Sumit Nagal, 22, India, World No 190 Ramkumar Ramnathan, 25, India, and World No 250 Sasi Kumar Mukund, 22, India, entered the quarter-finals on November 14 winning their respective Round of 16 matches.

Nagal entered the QFs after his Round of 16 opponent and World No323 Ivan Nedelko, Russia, the 13th seed, retired in the first set due to injury trailing 0-2.

World No 190 and 6th seed Ramkumar Ramnathan defeated  World No 273  Cem Ilkel, 24, Turkey, the 12th seed, 6-3, 6-4 to enter the QFs. Ramnathan will face compatriot Nagal in QFs on November 15.

Sasi Kumar Mukund, the 8th seed, beat World No 545 Ergi Kirkin, 20, Turkey, 6-0, 6-2 in Round of 16 to advance to the QFs. Mukund will face 2nd seed James Duckworth in the QFs on November 15.Fifth seed Jay Clarke, UK, has entered the QFs.
