Perez stunned Prajnesh in a three-set thriller 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 coming from behind to enter the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Perez will face World No 172 Steven Diez, 28, Canada, in the quarter-finals on September 20, 2019. Perez beat World No 130 Yuichi Sugita, 30, Japan, 6-2, 6-4 in the Round of 16. World No 158 Marc Polmans, 22, Australia, defeated World No 134 Go Soeda, 35, Japan, 1-6, 7-6, 6-3 coming from behind to enter the QFs of the tournament.
