Second seed Aryna Sabalenka beat reigning French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova, 25, Czech Republic, in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 in quarter-final on September 8, 2021, early morning, to move into SFs of US Open. The Belarusian won 4 break points during the match to 1 by Krejcikova. Sabalenka She also won 6 games in a row during the match. Sabalenka, however, also  committed 7 double faults during the match to 5 by the Czech. The Belarusian fired 5 Aces in the match to 4 by World No 9 Krejcikova.
