Patna : World No 1 Kanto Momota, Japan, World No 2 Chou Tien Chen, Taiwan, World No 4 Anders Antonsen, Denmark, and World No 17 Kanta Tsuneyama, Japan, entered the quarter-finals of Victor China Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 1,000 badminton tournament, at Changzhou, China, on September 19, 2019.

Reigning World Champion and top seed Kanto Momota beat World No 18 Tommy Sugiarto, Indonesia, 21-10, 21-11 in 36 minutes in second round at Olympic Sports Center Gymasium, Changzhou, China, on September 19. Momota won 42 rallies in the match to 21 by Sugiarto. Momota also won 6 consecutive points in the match to 3 by the Indonesia. Momota now leads Sugiarto 6-3 Head to Head.

Chou Tien Chen, the 2nd seed, beat World No 23 Huang Yu Xiang, China, 21-19, 21-18 in second round in 51 minutes. Chen won 42 rallies in the match to 37 by Xiang. He won 4 consecutive points in the match to 3 by Xiang. Chen now leads Xiang 3-2 Head to Head.

Anders Antonsen, the 8th seed, beat World No 22 Rasmus Gemke, Denmark, 21-11, 21-15 in 2nd round in 45 minutes. Antonsen won 42 rallies in the match to 26 by Gemke. He won 6 consecutive points in the match to 2 by Gemke. Antonsen now leads Gemke 2-0 Head to Head.

Kanta Tsuneyama beat World No 36 Liew Daren, Malasia, 21-12, 21-19 in 2nd round in 42 minutes.He won 42 rallies in the match to 31 by Daren. Both the players won 5 consecutive points each in the match. The two players are locked 2-2 Head to Head.
