Patna : Novak Djokovic, 32, Serbia, Rafael Nadal, 33, Spain, and Roger Federer, 38, Switzerland, remain World No 1, 2 & 3 in the ATP rankings released on October 7, 2019. Djokovic has, however, increased his lead over World N0 2 Nadal after winning the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships title on October 6, 2019, adding 500 points to his points tally. Djokovic has now 10,365 points whereas Nadal remains pegged at 9,225 points as he is now playing in the Asian swing of ATP Tour. Andy Murray, 32, UK, the winner of three Grand Slam titles, has jumped 214 places to be ranked World No 289 with 147 points after reaching the QFs of China Open last week.

Roger Federer has 7,130 points. World No 4 Daniil Medvedev, 23, Russia, has 4,965 points but World No 5 Dominic Thiem, 26, Austria, is breathing down his neck with 4,915 points after winning the ATP China Open tittle getting 500 points.  Alexander Zverev, 22, Germany, with 4,185 points while Stefanos Tsitsipas, 21, Greece, is World No 7 with 3,630 points. Kei Nishikori, 29, Japan, is World No 8 with 3,040 points.

John Millman, 30, Australia, has jumped 22 places to be ranked World No 58 with 991 points after reaching the final of Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships.

Juan Pablo Varillas, 24, Peru, has jumped 94 places to be ranked World No 238 with 199 points after winning the ATP Challenger Campinas title in Brazil last week. Juan Pablo Vicovich, 22, Argentina, has jumped 60 places to be ranked World No 265 with 172 after reaching the final of Campinas Challenger.

India No 2 Sumit Nagal, 22, has jumped 6 places to be ranked World No 129  with 435 points after reaching the SFs of Campinas Challenger. India No 1 Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, has jumped 2 places to be ranked World No 82 with 660 points. Ramkumar Ramnathan, 24, India, has jumped one ladder to be ranked World No 182 with 277 points while Sasi Kumar Mukund, 22, India, has jumped 4 ladders and is ranked World No 229 with 206 points. Saketh Myneni, 31, India, has jumped 2 ladders and is ranked World No 258 with 178 points.

Reilly Opelka, 22, USA, has jumped 13 places to be ranked World No 40 with 1,178 points after reaching the Sfs of Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships. Sam Querrey, 32, USA, has jumped 10 places to be ranked World No 45 with 1,100 points after reaching the QFs of China Open. Yasutaka Uchiyama, 27, Japan, has jumped 26 places and is ranked World No 110 with 507 points after reaching the QFs of Japan Open.
