Ara : Bhojpur district administration has made elaborate arrangements to celebrate Bihar Diwas on March 22, 2017. Bhojpur DM Birendra Prasad Yadav said Bihar Diwas function will begin with ‘Prabhat Pheri’ by the school students. Bijay Prakash, Minister, Labour Resource Department and minister-in-charge of Bhojpur district, will inaugurate the function at Ramana Maidan.
At least 40 stalls of agriculture and horticulture departments, DRDA, Police, ICDS, Mahila Helpline, Banks, Red Cross, Social Security, Ara Municipal Corporation, District Transport department, Jeevika, District Welfare Department, District Education Office will be set up highlighting the achievements of the district and welfare schemes of the government for the poor. An exhibition will also be organized.
The DM said that a women wrestling competition will also be organized on the occasion for the first time at Veer Kuer Singh Stadium. All the government offices of the district will be decorated with blue lights. A colourful cultural programme, Horse Show, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, archery, painting, drawing and quiz competitions, kavi sammelan and mushaira will also be organized to mark the occasion. The DM said prizes will be given to the successful participants.‘Dipotsav’ will be the special attraction of Bihar Diwas celebration at Ara in the evening.
