Motihari: Unidentified criminals shot dead a candidate for Motihari Zila Parishad, Tara Nisha, 35, on Monday night when she was returning home from Sugauli counting centre in East Champaran district on a bike. She was a pillion rider. Tara Nisha was contesting for Zila Parishad from Sugauli ward number 6. Criminals riding a bike intercepted her at Cross road near Sugauli and fired at her. The result of Zila Parishad polls are yet to be declared. Senior police have reached the spot to inquire into the incident.
