Motihari :   The East Champaran police on Sunday arrested  Usha Devi , a candidate  for Zila Parishad  member from Harsiddhi,  and her husband Subhash Kushwaha , BJP district vice- president near Ghidaura polling booth
number 124 under Harsidhi police station during panchayat election. They were arrested for allegedly distributing cash among the voters.

Amarkant, incharge controller, district election control room, Motihari, said that the police recovered Rs 17,000 cash  from their possession. A car  was also seized by the police . He said  the police has also arrested two candidates for the post of Mukhiya of Babhnauli panchayat under Areraj block  in East Champaran district for allegedly creating trouble
near booth and a polling agent was also detained  from Maguraha booth under Areraj block  for allegedly helping  a bogus voter.
