Woman shot dead by hubby at Rohtas village

Sasaram : A man shot dead his wife Jaimurti Devi at village Dihari under Rajpur police station in Rohtas district on April 22, 2019, late evening.

Police brought the body over Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. A named FIR has been lodged by Rajpur police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Rajpur police station, said that Sunil Chaudhary has nine daughters and a son Shivam. Two daughters : Sandhya and Shobh, are married. Quoting the youngest daughter, Sita Kumari, the SHO said that Sunil Chaudhary is mentally ill and had tried to strangulate his daughters several times earlier. He is undergoing treatment and on April 22 evening, Sita’s mother asked him to go to Patna for treatment. At this, Sunil Chaudhary got furious and shot dead his wife and escaped from there.
