Saharsa : An accused in RJD leader Shyam Sunder Das Tanti murder case Shobhni Devi was shot at four times and seriously injured at her house at Subedari  Tola of village Bherdhari under Sadar police station in Saharsa district on March 7, 2017, evening allegedly by the son and uncle of the deceased RJD leader. Shyam Sunder Das Tanti was also a native of Subedari Tola of Bherdhari village and was Saharsa district president of backward class cell of the RJD.

Shobhni was admitted to Saharsa Sadar hospital where the doctors referred her to Patna in view of her serious condition. But, her kin admitted her to a local private hospital. Shobhni Devi sustained bullet injury in stomach. DSP, Saharsa, Subodh Bishwas, said the accused would be arrested at the earliest.

Shobhni Devi’s son Santraj, who too was an accused in Shyam Sunder Das Tanti murder case of April, 2016, alleged that the late RJD leader Tanti’s son Vikas and his uncle Sajan Sharma entered his house and shot at his mother four times. Santraj said that his mother had come out of jail recently on bail.
