Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot at and injured a woman on the bank of a canal at village Bajen under Charpokhari police station (PS) on November 25, 2021, morning, when she was on morning walk along with her niece. She was rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor there referred her to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of her critical condition.
The injured was identified as Chandravati Devi, 45, wife of Krishna Prasad alias Vakil Ram of village Bajen. She is said to be a supporter of slain Mukhia of Babubandh panchayat Sanjay Singh. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with Charpokhari PS station in this connection. Police are investigating the matter. Her husband is a railways employee posted at Barbunda at Raurkela in Odhisa. She also lives there.
Chandravati Devi’s niece Shobha Kumar said that she along with her aunt was on a stroll in on November 25 morning and they were walking along the bank of canal at the village, some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured her aunt and escaped.
