Ara : A married woman Rinku Kumari was killed at her in-laws’ place at village Megharia under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur district on November 3, 2018, night.

A named FIR has been lodged with Azimabad police station against five persons including Rinku’s husband in connection with murder but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Azimabad police station, said that Rinku Kumari, daughter of Chandeo Singh of Chaita Tola under Sandesh police station, was married to Shashikant alias Jwala Singh, son of Radheshyan Singh of village Megharia, in 2014 and ever since she was being tortured by her in-laws merely for a gold chain. When their demand was not met, they allegedly killed her on November 3, the SHO said. Police, on information, recovered the body and brought it over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem.
