Woman killed, 8 injured in Buxar accident

Buxar : Preety Devi, wife of Vidyasagar Singh, a school teacher at Uttampur under Rajpur block in Buxar district, was killed while eight persons including two women were injured in an accident near Choubey Ki Chhavani (Sikraul) on Chausa-Ramgarh man road in Buxar district on July 19, 2017,  morning when they were returning from the Mundeshwari Temple in Kaimur district.

Police brought the body to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chausa. The doctors referred two women Indrawati Devi and Rinki Devi, both relatives of the deceased,  to Varanasi in view of their critical condition. The deceased was a resident of village Rauni under Rajpur police station but lived in Koirpurva locality under Buxar Town Police station.

The other injured were identified as Jiyut Singh, Janardan Singh, Gopal Kumar Pandey and Bunty Pandey of Kajariya under Rajpur police station, Bindi Yadav and Rajesh Kumar Yadav of Bisanpura  village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district.

Nine persons from Buxar had gone to Mundeshwari Temple in Kaimur district on July 18, 2017. They were returning home on July 19 morning. When they reached near Choubey ki Chhavani (Sikraul) on Chausa-Ramgarh main road, the driver lost control over the steering in his bid to save a three- wheeler and the jeep overturned on the road in which Preety Devi was killed and others were injured.
