Woman hit with iron rod on head for protesting rape bid

Ara : A  miscreant assaulted and injured a married woman when she protested his bid to outrage her modesty in Anaith locality under Nawada police station, Ara, on June 1, 2017. Later, the injured was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. A named FIR was lodged with Nawada police station against Chandan Kumar Ram of the locality on the statement of woman’s mother Fatma Khatoon. Chandan has not yet been arrested.

The 25  year old woman, daughter of Asgar Ali, lives in a hut inat Nawada locality under Nawada police station. She was all alone in her hut as her father Asgar Ali and mother Fatma Khatoon had gone out for work. Meanwhile, one Chandan Kumar Ram entered her hut and tried to outrage her modesty and when she protested, he hit her head with an iron rod and escaped. The woman was married to Pawan Parvez of village Bahiro three years ago and had come to her parents 10 days back.
