Muzaffarpur : In an incident of brutal assault, the husband and in-laws of Seema Devi, 30, hit her with hot iron rod and allegedly also threw chilli powder on her body on February 27, 2017, at Baruraj under Baruraj police station in Muzaffarpur district as she was against the second marriage of her husband Lalu Singh. Lalu had married another woman around 18 months back even as he had four children with Seema. SHO, Baruraj police station, Pramod Kumar, said police have arrested Seema’s husband Lalu Singh in this connection.
Seema, on her return from Muzaffarpur hospital, lodged an FIR against five persons including her husband on March 2, 2017. Police are, however, yet to arrest the other four accused who are absconding. SSP, Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar, has ordered for stern action against the accused.
