Ara : A woman under quarantine at a Jan Sahkari College Quarantine Centre, Gadhani, in Bhojpur district, gave birth to a child on May 30, 2020. All the persons under quarantine at the centre celebrated the birth of a child. The woman belongs to village Sikaria in Badaura panchayat under Gadhani police station.
Bijay Keshari, senior teacher and Incharge, Jan Sahkari College Quarantine Centre, said that the woman’s husband worked at Gaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. He along with his wife returned to Ara on May 20, 2020, and were quarantined at Jan Sahkari College at Gadhani. The officials of Bhojpur district administration are reportedly contemplating to get the Coronacirus test done of the newborn.
On getting information about the birth of a child at the centre, Bhojpur DM Roushan Kushwaha sent the DPO, ICDS, Rashmi Chaudhary, along with the CDPO, Gadhani, Madhurima Prasad, and other woman supervisor and Aaganwadi Sevika to the quarantine centre, and congratulated the woman on being blessed with a son.
DPO, ICDS, Rashmi Chaudhary, boosted the morale of the mother and asked her to only breastfeed the child. She also provided Sudha Milk allotted by the ICDS directorate to the woman to drink. Chaudhary also initiated process to link her with Prime Minister Matri Vandana Scheme. She and others supervised the quarantine centre and found a number of small kids playing at the quarantine centre. She gave milk powder to them too.
