Woman gangraped at Buxar village, 2 arrested

Buxar : Four persons gangraped a woman, mother of a one year old daughter, at village Motisabad under Koransarai police station in Buxar district on May 4, 2018, late evening when she had gone to the field to attend call of nature.

A named FIR was lodged with Buxar Woman police station against four persons: Rakesh Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar, Pawan Kumar of Motisabad under Koransarai police station, and Jitendra Kumar under Dawath police station in Rohtas district. Later, police arrested Rakesh Kumar and Jitendra Kumar but Pawan Kumar and Ranjeet Kumar are still evading arrest. Rakesh Kumar, son of Bir Bahadur Singh, was to marry a girl of another village on May 4 night itself and his family members were preparing for his ‘baarat but police arrested him. Ranjeet Kumar is  son of a former mukhia.

SHO, Woman Police Station, Kanchan Kumari said that the victim had come to Motisabad village under Koransarai police station in Buxar district from Dawath police station area in Rohtas district to attend the marriage of her younger sister scheduled for May 5, 2018. On May 4 evening, she had gone to the open field to attend call of nature when four named accused caught her and took her to a secluded place and gangraped her. She returned home crying and narrated her ordeal to her family members.
