Ara : A woman died in her bid to save her daughter at village Sripalpur under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district on April 14, 2020, morning. Police got the post-mortem of the body done at Ara Sadar Hospital. The deceased was identified as Priyanka Devi, 22, wife of Munna Paswan.
SHO, Koelwar police station, said that Priyanka Devi was engaged in household work at Sripalpur village and her 3 year old daughter Shivani was playing nearby while Munna Paswan had gone to Khesaria village for harvesting of crops. Meanwhile, Shivani fell into the village well. Priyanka Devi, in her bid to save her child, jumped into the well.
Seeing this, some villagers rushed to the spot. A youth went into the well with the help of rope and took out Priyanka Devi and Shivani out of the well but Priyanka Devi had died by then. The villagers rushed them to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor said that Priyanka Devi was brought dead though the doctor saved Shivani.
