Ara : A middleage married woman Usha Devi, 45, was crushed to death speeding truck near Bhagat Market on Piro-Jagdishpur main road under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on August 19, 2018, morning. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for postmortem.
SHO, Piro police station, said that Usha Devi, wife of an ASI Amar Rai of village Teladh under Agiaw Bazaar police station, was going to Piro Bazaar with her husband on a motorcycle. When they reached near Bhagat Market on Piro-Jagdishpur main road, their motorcycle collided with a handcart (thela) parked on road and she fell on the ground. Meanwhile, a speeding truck came and crushed her to death and damaged the motorcycle.
The villagers caught the driver of the truck and thrashed him. Later, police seized the truck and arrested the truck driver and brought the body over to the Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
