Sitamarhi: Ranjita Devi, 36, wife of Rakesh Rai, committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room using a sari at village Surgahian under Parihar police station in Sitamarhi district on May 29, 2017, night. The villagers feel that the cause behind her suicide was a family tiff over minor issues.
Ranjita’s husband Rakesh Rai is a daily wage earner. The deceased was married ten years ago and has left behind two children. Her father Bajju Rai has lodged an FIR with the police station concerned in this connection making five members of her family as named accused.
