Buxar : A married woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of a room at her house at her in-laws’ place under Rajpur police station (PS) area in Buxar District in South Bihar on June 21, 2021, late night.The deceased was identified as Phulmati Devi, 21, wife of Roushan Kumar.
Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police also picked up the husband, father-in-law Ashok Ram and mother-in-law of the deceased for interrogation An FIR has been lodged with Rajpur PS in this connection and pPolice are investigating the matter.
SHO, Rajpur PS, said that Phulmati Devi of Belhari village in Rohtas District in South Bihar was married to Roushan Kumar in Buxar district about 11 months ago. She had some tiff with her in-laws on June 21, 2021. Later, her family members went away in the afternoon and finding herself all alone in the house, she committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling. When her in-laws returned in the late night, they found her hanging to the ceiling. They informed police about the incident.
