Ara : A married woman was hit with hot irons and beaten up to death for a motorcycle at Kolodihari 0village under Chauri police station in Bhojpur district on January3 27 evening. A named FIR has been lodged with Chauri police station against husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law of the deceased on the statement of Kanhaiya Sao, her brother.

Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police arrested Mukhraj Sah, her father-in-law, and forwarded him to jail.

SHO Chauri police station said that Janaki Kumari, 21, daughter of Manoj Sao of Kolodihari village under Chauri police station, was married to Ranjan Sah, son of Mukhraj Sah of Majhiaw village under Charpokhari police station, in April 2015 and since then her in-laws were torturing her physically and mentally for a motorcycle. She narrated her woes to her brother Kanhaiya Sao when he visited her. Kanhaiya Sao brought her to Kolodihari. On  January 27, her father-in-laws along with others came to Kolodihari and burnt her with hot iron rod and beat her up when she was all alone at the house. The injured woman succumbed to her injuries immediately.
