Muzaffarpur : Police, on a tip off, arrested a woman with 5 kg Charas kept in ten packets at Narkatiaganj railway station in North Bihar on June 21, 2017. SHO, Government Railway Police (GRP), Narkatiaganj, in West Champaran district, Sunil Dwevedi, said that he had received information that a woman was coming to Narkatiaganj from Nepal with huge quantity of Charas after which he had constituted a team to keep a close watch on the railway station premises.

The police team noticed a woman with suspicious activities on Narkatiaganj railway station. When they searched her bag they found she was carrying 5 kg Charas worth Rs 50 lakh in international market. Police seized the bag and arrested the woman, a resident of Gadiani Tola under Shikarpur police station in West Champaran district.  The woman, during her interrogation, told police that she had to go to Delhi by Saptkranti Express to deliver the consignment there.  Narkatiaganj is about 235 km away from Patnavia NH 27.
