Ara : The in-laws of a woman Reshma Katoon, who were charged with killing her, heaved a sigh of relief after she returned home at village Baligaon under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district after 13 days giving the murder case a new twist.

SHO, Ayar police station, Awadh Kishor said that Zarina Khatoon, wife of Sadiq Siddiqui of village Lilari village under Charpokhari police station, had lodged a named FIR with Ayar police station on November 16, 2017, against four persons including her son-in-law alleging  they had killed her daughter for dowry and disposed off the body.

The SHO said that Reshma Khatoon, daughter of Sadiq Siddiqui, was married to Aslam Siddiqui, son of Aziz Siddiqui of Baligaon village under Ayar police station, seven year ago. But, her in-laws allegedly kept torturing her for Rs 50,000 and when their demands were not fulfilled, they killed her and disposed off her body,the FIR said.

When police were  investigating the matter, the woman returned to her in-laws’ place in a dramatic manner  that stunned the villagers. Police interrogated the woman but she did not reveal anything. The SHO said that police will get her statement recorded in the court under section 164 of CrPC on November 30, 2017.
