Ara : Geeta Devi, widow of a former army personnel, was allegedly deceived by her sister’s son Chandan Kumar who fraudulently drew Rs 2.25 lakh from her bank account. Geeta Devi has informed Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar about it on March 30, 2019, and  requested him to take action against the accused. The SP has ordered an inquiry into the matter.

Geeta Devi informed the Bhojpur SP that her husband was an armyman who died in February this year and she had two minor children. Her sister’s son Chandan Kumar of Masadh had come to attend rituals and was staying with her to help her. He took the ATM from his aunt this month on the plea to check it but later he returned the mobile phone and the ATM to her and went to New Delhi. Several messages came on her mobile phone including OTP number and Chandan Kumar took information from her daughter regularly, said Geeta Devi.

Geeta Devi further said that on March 12, 2019, when she went to the bank to draw pension of her husband, she was told that Rs 2.25 lakh had been drawn from the bank account of her husband.
