Patna : West Indies (WI) beat Bangladesh by 4 wickets in the 2nd ODI at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangaladesh, on December 11, 2018, riding on a superb unbeaten 146 in 144 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes by opener and wicketkeeper Shai Hope, 25, his second ODI ton.

Darren Bravo scored 27  while Marlon Samuels scored 26. Shimron Hetmyer made 14 while captain Rovman Powell was out for 1. Chasing a target of 256, West Indies scored 256/6 in 49.4 overs. Shai Hope was declared Player of the Match. With this win, West Indies has levelled the three-match ODI series 1-1.

Shai Hope added 65 runs with Darren Bravo for the second wicket and 62 runs with Marlon Samuels for the third wicket. He also added an unbeaten 71 runs with Keemo Paul for the 7th wicket. Paul remained unbeaten on 18 in 31 balls.

West Indies won the toss but opted to bowl. Bangladesh scored 255/7 in 50 overs with opener Tamim Iqbal scored 50 with 4 fours and a six while wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim scored 62 with 5 fours. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scored 65 in 62 balls with 6 fours and a six while Mahmudullah scored 30 with 3 fours. Opener Liton Das made 8 while Imrul Kayes was out for a duck.

For West Indies, fast bowler Oshane Thomas took 3/54 while Kemar Roach, Keemo Paul, Devendra Bishoo, and Rovman Powell took one wicket each.
