Patna : Openers Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis took the Indian bowlers to cleaners as West Indies (WI) scored 158/2 in only 22 overs when play was stopped due to rain in the 3rd ODI at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, on August 14, 2019, night. Gayle scored 72 in just 41 balls with8 fours and 5 sixes while his opening partner Lewis scored 43 in 29 balls hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Gayle hit Mohammad Shami and K Khaleel Ahmad for 2 sixes each and Bhuvaneshwar Prasad for one in the 3rd ODI against India. Gayle has so far hit 56 sixes in 2019.

Gayle and Lewis added 115 for the first wicket. Gayle fell to fast bowler K Khaleel Ahmad while Lewis fell to spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The second WI wicket fell at 121 after 11.4 overs. Shai Hope (wk) is batting on 19 while Shimron Hetmyer is batting on 18.

Bhuvaneshwar Prasad leaked 48 runs in 5 overs while Mohammad Shami leaked 31 runs in his 3 overs. Khaleel Ahmad has taken 1/43 in 4 overs. Chahal though was very impressive taking 1/21 in 6 overs.
