Bagaha : Valmikinagar parliamentary constituency (PC) in West Champaran district, which went to poll in the 6th phase of General Elections on May 12, 2019, recorded 62.01% polling even as 865 voters of booth number 68 at Dhadhawa Tola under Narakatiaganj assembly segment boycotted  polls protesting lack of bridge over river Rohuya Biraha. Voters of  booth no. 171 at Multi Pipara in Serawa panchayat and booth no 79 and 80 at  Magarahari Bairia under Narakatiaganj assembly segment also  boycotted due to lack of basic amenities.
Voters  in a large number started reaching their respective polling booths since early morning with women outnumbering male voters. In Tharuhat and Dhangoan polling was peaceful barring some minor scuffle between two group of voters due to snag in EVMs. A scuffle took place between police and voters at booth no. 222 at Bintoli in Mushahari panchayat under Valmikinagar  assembly segment when a police constable Nabin Kumar was asking the voters to stand in queue. Around 58.69 % polling was recorded in Valmikinagar and Ramnagar assembly segments of Valmikinagar PC where polling was ended at 4pm. 
Bagaha SP Arvind Kumar Gupta said that two persons : Gulaten Bind and Kishori Bind, were arrested as a preventive measure.
