Ara : Sanjay Tripathi, Coordinator, Examination department, Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, on September 4, 2017, said that exam of BA/B.Com/B.Sc Part II papers held on September 1 at Kuer Singh College centre, Ara, but later cancelled by the university due to mass cheating, will now be held on September 20.

Tripathi said that the examinations of BA/B.Com/B.Sc Part II of all the centres scheduled for September 4 and September 5 had been postponed on  the direction of Vice Chancellor, VKSU, Sayyad Mumtazuddin due to some unavoidable reasons and the examination of these papers will be held on September 22 and September 25. But, the  examinations of others papers slated to be held from September 7 onwards will be held as per schedule at the respective centres.

Talking to this correspondent, Tripathi said that the BA/B.Com/B.Sc Part II examination of first sitting at the Veer Kuer Singh College, Ara, was cancelled on September 1, 2017. He said that the VKSU administration will not allow use of unfair means at the examination at any cost.

VC Sayyad Mumtazuddin said that a three- member inquiry committee comprising Shiv Kumar Singh, Dean, Science faculty, Baijnath Singh, Head of the Department, Economics, and K P Yadav, of department of Geography, has been constituted to probe mass copying at Veer Kuer Singh Examination Centre.

The VC said that the Centre Superintendent of the Veer Kuer Singh College, K K Singh, has been removed and a show cause notice had also been served on him. Dineshwar Kumar Singh, HoD, PG department of Geography, has been appointed the centre superintendent there, said the VC. The VC said that the Bhojpur district administration was not cooperating with the university administration in holding fair examination despite request made to it prior to the examination.
