Ara : The Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, has accelerated the work on covering the entire university campus with the Wi-Fi facility for the benefit of students. this foolows a recent meeting between the VKSU officials and Secretary, Information and Technology (IT) Department, Rahul Singh.
The VKSU administration had allotted the work of covering the entire university campus with Wi-Fi facility to Larsen and Turbo and Airtell companies in 2016 but the work on the project was going on at snail’s pace.
Secretary, IT, Rahul Singh, has asked the VKSU officials to ensure completion of work on the project at the earliest. He also directed them to issue passwords to students so that they could avail its facility. On his direction, the Nodal Officer, VKSU, Faizanuddin, is monitoring the project work. The Nodal officer said that a tower will be set up on the roof of Radha Krishnan building and wires are being laid.
Sources in the university said that the government has planned to provide Wi-Fi facility to students in a way that they are not able to use objectionable websites. Objectionable websites will be blocked and the students may avail the Wi-Fi facility within limited area and a certain speed. The student can get information only related to education so that they can keep themselves update with the latest development and research in the field of higher education. They will even get facility of e-learning.
