Ara : Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara,  opened its new branch office at Shanti Prasad Jain College, Sasaram, in Rohtas district, on May 11, 2018,  for the benefit of the students. Union Minister of State for HRD Upendra Kushwaha inaugurated the new branch on May 11.

Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Sayyed Mumtazuddin said that about two thirds of the students of VKSU mostly belonging to Kaimur and Rohtas districts studying in the 10 constituent and 37 affiliated colleges will now be spared the ordeal of travelling to the university Headquarters at Ara for their study related works. He said applications of students for certificates or other academic documents would be received at the new branch office which would then forward the same to the university HQs and added that in course of time, they will try to ensure disposal of such works at the branch office itself.

The VC directed all the Principals of colleges under the VKSU to complete installation of Biometric system in their respective colleges at the earliest and also to expedite registration under the NAAC if not registered so far. He appealed the students to attend their classes regularly and if they hadveany problem complain to the university.

Principal, S P Jain College, Gurucharan Singh told this correspondent that he had provided three rooms for the branch office until its new building is constructed. He also said that the college might even spare its staff if required.

The student leaders welcomed the VKSU administration’s move to start a branch office at Sasaram for the benefit of students and said that a long cherished demand had been  fulfilled now.
