VKSU move will benefit pre-PhD pass students

Ara : The Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, has  allowed the students who have cleared the pre-Ph D examination to get registration anytime for research work. Earlier, the Pre-Ph.D pass students had to get registration for the research work within five years of the date of publication of their result.

The VKSU amended its earlier order at a meeting of the examination committee headed by the Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Sayyed Mumtajuddin on July 18, 2017. It was also decided that the students who wish to do research work under 2009 regulation, may get new registration for the research work. Under the 2009 regulation of the University Grant Commission (UGC), a pre-Ph.D pass student will have to complete six month course for the research work.

The VKSU administration had sought applications from the Pre-Ph. D pass students for the six month course last month. Several students submitted the application to the PG departments concerned but some students failed to submit application on time. The VKSU administration also gave such students some relief and has asked them to submit their application for the six month course if they wish to do research work by August 10, 2017.
