VKSU, DSW, Prof Kundan Singh removed, Prof K K Singh appointed new DSW

Ara : Acting Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, Nand Kishor Sah removed Prof. Kundan Singh from the post of Dean, Student Welfare (DSW), and sent him back to his parent college, H D Jain College, Ara, and appointed Prof K K Singh, Department of English, as DSW in his place. A notification to this effected by issued by frhe university on January 28, 2019, evening.

The action was taken after a section of student created pandemonium during the meeting of the Senate of the university on January 23, 2019,  and meeting had to be cancelled due to aggressive agitation by the student unions.

Prof K K Singh was earlier Proctor of the university but after cancellation of the Senate meeting due to students’ agitation, he tendered his resignation from the post of the Proctor taking moral responsibility of the incident. The VC also appointed the former Information Officer, VKSU, Shiv Parshan Singh, as Proctor of the university.

Prof Kundan Singh was appointed DSW by former VC, VKSU, Sayyad Mumtazuddin on July 3, 2018, and would have continued in the office till July 2020 but the acting VC removed him from the post. Prof K K Singh would remain the DSW till July 2020.
