Villagers tonsure head of Panchayat member in Bhojpur

Ara : A ward member of Posawa Panchayat under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district had face the wrath of villagers on HJuly 17, 2017, for allegedly expressing his love before a girl of the village. The villagers tonsured his head while the panchayat slapped a fine of Rs 501 on him.

Barmeshwar Ram, 45, son of late Dwarka Ram, a resident of village Ahile  under Narayanpur police station and a ward member ( ward No 8) of Posawa panchayat gave his mobile number to a girl of the village when she was grazing her buffalo in the field and also asked her to meet him at a secluded place. The girl lost her temper and started quarrelling with him.

After returning from the field, the girl narrated the incident to her family members. Her family members immediately caught Barmeshwar Ram and thrashed him and also tonsured his head. Later, they brought the matter before the Posawa panchayat and Sarpanch of the panchayat, Sumitra Devi. The panchayat slapped a fine of Rs 501 on  Barmeshwar Ram.
