Villagers kill miscreant, injured another at Kaimur village

Bhabhua :  The villagers thrashed and killed one of the four miscreants, who had come to village Manihari under Bhabhua police station in Kaimur district to kill a resident of the village on January 7, 2019, night. One miscreant was injured while two others escaped from the scene.

The deceased was identified as Pyare Bind, 46, of village Baheria under Chand police station while the injured was identified as Laxman Bind of village Madara under Chainpur police station in Kaimur district.

SHO, Bhabhua police station, Satyendra Ram, said that Gorakh Ram was sleeping in his hut along with family members at village Manihari on January 7 night when around midnight four armed miscreants entered his hut and queried about Gorakh Ram from his wife. Seeing the miscreants, Gorakh Ram escaped from the backdoor but Pyare Bind located him and fired on him but the bullet missed him. When the miscreants failed in their mission, they started thrashing Gorakh’s wife Rajmati Devi, daughter Rita Kumari, and son Govind Ram.

Hearing the sound of the bullet, the villagers came to the rescue of Gorakh Ram and caught two of the miscreants. The villagers thrashed the two miscreants and locked them up in a community hall and went to their houses. On January 8 morning, the villagers saw that one of the miscreants had died. They informed police and the police brought the body over to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured miscreant there under police custody.
