Bagaha :  Police had to face the ire of residents of village Kataki under Piparasi police station in  Bagaha police district on June 28, 2019, when they reached there to take the body of a kidnapped boy Suraj Deo Sharma, 10, under their custody for autopsy.

The villagers were protesting the police failure  to recover the boy safely even as an FIR was lodged with Piparasi police station in this connection by his father Thakur Sharma making Dipnarain Chaurasia of the same village as named accused.

Sources said that Suraj Deo Sharma, son of  Thakur Sharma of village Kataki, had gone to a near by crop field along with Dipnarain Chaurasia on June 23, 2019, and was missing ever since. When his parents failed to locate Suraj, a kidnapping case was lodged by his father Thakur Sharma with Piparasi police station making Dipnarain Chaursia a named accused.

Police were investigating into the incident. Meanwhile, the villagers located the body of the kidnapped boy and informed police. When SHO, Piparasi police station, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, with police force reached there on June 28 to take the body to the hospital for autopsy, they had to face the ire of the villagers. Police, however, brought the body over to the hospital. Inspector, Dhanaha Police Circle, Shambhu Sharan Gupta, that the case was under investigation.
