Ara : Villagers caught three miscreants and handed them over to police after thrashing them when they were escaping after snatching Rs 80,000 cash, a Laptop, and a gold chain from a CSP owner Nagendra Kumar Singh, son of Shardanand Singh near Keshwa Mor under Dhangai police station in Bhojpur District on July 28, 2021. Three miscreants, however, escaped on motorcycle.

Police seized a countrymade pistol, two live cartridges, one motorcycle, and gold chain from the arrested miscreants though Laptop and cash has not been recovered so far.

The arrested miscreants were identified as Pappu Sharma of Bimwa Mathia under Jagdishpur police station, Akash Kumar Singh of Puraini under Agiaw Bazaar police station, and Om Prakash Singh of Amroja under Charpokhari police station. The CSP owner is a resident of Basawan Tola under Piro police station. A FIR was lodged with Dhangai police station against six persons in this connection. Police sent the three arrested miscreants to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari said that Nagendra Kumar Singh is running a CSP of South Bihar Gramin Bank at Dalippur under Dhangoi police station. He was going to CSP from his native village on motorcycle with laptop and Rs 80,000 of his friend to deposit it into Punjab National Bank and as he reached near Keshwa Mor and Krishi Farm, six motorcycle borne armed miscreants waylaid him and snatched cash, laptop, and a gold chain from him, SP Tiwary said. The SP said that other three miscreants have been identified on the revelation of the arrested miscreants and police would very soon arrest them.
