Buxar : Angry villagers and family members blocked Buxar-Ara road near Buxar Model police station for about two hours with the body of a newly married woman raising slogans against the hospital administration. Prabha Devi died at Vishwamitra Global Hospital, Buxar, on September 19, 2017, morning, during treatment.
The mob held the doctors of the hospital responsible for her death and demanded immediate action against the doctors concerned. An FIR was also lodged with Buxar Town police station against the doctors concerned of the hospital.
Prabha Devi, a newly married woman of Kanjharua village under Itadhi police station, was admitted to Vishwamitra Global Hospital on September 15 after she complained of stomach pain. The doctors diagnosed stone in her kidney and advised operation. The doctors operated her on September 15 itself but she could not regain consciousness even after 48 hours. The doctors then referred her to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) but she breathed her last there during treatment.
The family members alleged that the doctors had taken out her kidney that caused her death. They said their agitation would continue till the doctors were arrested. The road blockade was continuing till the filling of the report.
