Muzaffarpur : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team led by DSP Gopal Paswan on November 2, 2017, arrested Assistant Account, Treasury, Sheohar, Rampravesh Chaudhary, accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a retired school teacher Awadhesh Kumar Singh of  Tariyani in Sheohar district to clear payment of his pension amount. Awadhesh Kumar Singh had lodged a complaint with the Vigilance Bureau that Chaudhary was demanding Rs 10,000 as bribe to clear his pension.

The Vigilalnce Bureau after verifying the allegation laid a trap and arrested Chaudhary and took him to Patna. Sheohar SP Prakashnath Mishra confirmed the arrest of Chaudhary. Awadhesh Kumar Singh had retired from service on November 30, 2016.
